A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. Components-capacitors, resistors or active devices-are generally soldered on the PCB.

If you know how to design any circuit & logic behind it then you can do any innovation with your creative ideas.
You might be surprised at what you can design - you just have to have a 'problem' to utilize your knowledge. Even with some basic knowledge you can do some pretty cool things. A lot can be done with some transistors, op amps and logic gates.
